The Cyprus Photographic Society was founded in 1960 and in 1964 became a full member of the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP).

In the following years, the art of photography was spread out and its acceptance as a means of expression led to the expansion of the Society’s activities. Since 1985 branches were created in four towns, Nicosia, Limassol, Pafos and Larnaca. Membership is open to all residents of Cyprus, irrespective of religion and origin.

CPS has established itself as a recognized artistic body, organizing annually both national and international prestigious photographic events, including competitions, exhibitions, seminars, lectures, photographic excursions and discussions.

General Terms of participation

The competition is open to everyone from all over the world; however, an entry may be rejected when the organizer, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions.

To receive proper credit the name and country data of each participant in this competition should be identical to that used in other exhibitions previously entered.

The members of the Organizing Committee and Jury are not allowed to enter the competition.

Entries which do not fully comply with the conditions of the exhibition will not be judged.
