At Current World Archaeology magazine, we’re looking for the best photos with an archaeological theme taken anywhere outside the UK.

Send in your favourite archaeological photos (maximum of 5 entries per person) from any world location outside the UK for your chance to win first prize in our annual CWA Photo Competition – sponsored by Hidden History.

The best four photos will be featured in CWA and at the CA Live! 2019 conference in London on 8 & 9 March 2019. The overall winner will get two free tickets to the conference, and be presented with a framed print of their winning picture at the Friday evening Awards Ceremony.

Images must be high resolution, above 1MB. Please use the highest resolution you have – so that it can be printed up to A3 size.

Photos must have an archaeological theme. Please include details of the site or artefact photographed, when each image was taken, and your contact information, including a postal address. Photos of any world locations outside the UK may be submitted.

Closing date: 1 February 2019

The judges’ decision is final, and prize-winners (only) will be notified of results by 15 February 2019.
