Creative Railroad Photography Award
Please note this is a railroad photography contest. Only photographs that concern some aspect of railroads will be considered; see details of the theme below.
The theme is “Beyond the Locomotive,” which challenges photographers to understate (or even eliminate) the locomotive in the photograph and emphasize other aspects of the railroad environment. Judging will be conducted by Kimberly Parker, the director of the O. Winston Link Museum. Winners will be announced by February 15, 2010.

PRIZE DETAILS:
First Place: Canon EOS 50D digital camera body.
Second Place: $500.

COPYRIGHT: By submitting, photographers grant, if they are chosen as a winner of an award: (1) Publication rights to the Center for Railroad Photography & Art for the purposes of print and Internet articles announcing the award’s winners and unlimited publication rights to the Center for Railroad Photography & Art for the purposes of documenting, promoting, preserving, and presenting the award. (2) One-time publication rights to “Railfan & Railroad” magazine for the purposes of an article announcing the Award’s winners. (3) Use in an exhibition at the California State Railroad Museum.
