COAST Photographic Competition 2010
Coast photo competition – give it your best shot!
With Corbis picture agency, we’re searching for this year’s best amateur digital coastal photographer. Enter and you could win a fantastic prize…
Last year’s photography competition elicited an overwhelming response from Coast readers, whose artistic flair and technical ability wowed the judges and produced some evocative winning entries.
This year, we are asking you to pick up your cameras again, and to scan your hard drives, for more arresting images of the British coast. Along with top picture agency Corbis (www.corbis.com), we are looking for digital photographs that represent four sides of the seaside in the following categories: fun, weather, tranquillity and adventure.
Bear these themes in mind as you travel around our shores in the coming weeks and see what sights unfold before your lens. It could be a dark sky glowering above a windswept beach or a big dipper looping by the sea – it’s up to you.
Our winners will see their images reproduced in Coast, and on Allaboutyou.com, and are in with a chance of bagging the top prize of a three-day workshop with acclaimed photographer Joe Cornish, renowned for his landscape work.
There are four categories: fun, weather, tranquillity and adventure. There will be a winner and runner-up for each and one overall winner. Send a high-res image (300dpi), with a minimum file size of 20MB, to [email protected] by 17 November 2009, with your name, address and phone number. Label the picture with the theme. You may send up to four entries, but no more than one for each category. The judges will draw up a shortlist and you’ll be notified if you have made it.
