Canteen Magazine 2010 Awards in Photography
THE 2010 CANTEEN AWARDS IN PHOTOGRAPHY Judged by Brooklyn Museum Director Arnold Lehman, and acclaimed photographer Matthew Porter.
All themes are acceptable, but keep in mind that Canteen is an art publication—so we’re not really looking for adorable pictures of your kittens wearing matching sweaters.
Work derived from all traditional and digital photographic processes, as well as mixed-media work that is primarily photo-based, will be considered. Projects that have been published in book format with a photographic publishing house or a university press are not eligible for the competition.
Contest Prize & TERMS
PRIZE DETAILS:
First place: $500 + your portfolio published in Canteen Six, posted on our website, and featured in our contest show at the powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn Three runners-up: $100 + your work posted on our website and featured in our contest show at the powerHouse Arena.

COPYRIGHT: By entering the competition, contestants grant Canteen Arts permission to reproduce works from their submitted materials in connection with the administration, judging, and promotion of Canteen Arts, the Canteen Awards, and Canteen review events. Permissible uses of the images submitted shall include their reproduction, distribution, and display in Canteen Arts exhibitions, multimedia presentations, and printed materials related to promotion of Canteen Arts and the Canteen Awards and events. Canteen Arts shall have the right to grant permissions to the press and publicity agents in connection with the promotion of the Canteen Awards, exhibitions, and related events.
