Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest
Enter your best Canadian wildlife photos to win our fourth annual Wildlife Photography of the Year contest, a partnership between Canadian Geographic, the Royal Canadian Mint, Canadian Museum of Nature and the Alliance of Natural History Museums of Canada.
Become a member of the Canadian Geographic Photo Club and post your ten best shots of Canadian wildlife in any of the five contest categories: Mammals, Birds, People & Pets, Amphibians/Reptiles/Insects and Junior Photographers (kids 15 and under)
Contest Prize & TERMS
Category Winners (5) 1 per category: Winning photos will be published in the December 2011 issue of Canadian Geographic. Category winners will be awarded a $1,000 cash prize and a Lowepro Field Station bag (*Value $$99) and Proof Sets commemorating Parks Canada’s Centennial (*Value $114.95 ea.).
Runners-Up (10) 2 per category: Winning photos will be published in the December 2011 issue of Canadian Geographic. Runners-up will also receive a Lowepro Terraclime 100 black camera bag (*Value $39.99) and a Wildlife Conservation Series: the Orca Whale, (*Value $62.95 ea.).
Honourable Mentions (15) 3 per category: Lowepro Slingshot200

COPYRIGHT: The owner of the photo retains all copyright USAGE RIGHTS: By uploading or submitting any photograph to the Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest, the entrant grants (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly grants) Canadian Geographic Enterprises, the Canadian Museum of Nature, Royal Canadian Mint and their affiliates and licensors a world-wide, royalty-free, irrevocable and non-exclusive right and license to use, copy, adapt, transmit, communicate, publicly display and perform, distribute and create compilations and derivative works or merchandise from any such submitted photograph to promote the Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest. In addition, you grant the Canadian Museum of Nature the right to deposit the photographs in its National Collection for safekeeping and to use the photographs for the Museum’s own educational and non-commercial use.
In respect to photographs submitted to the kid’s category, permission to reprint, publish or otherwise reproduce the images, as described above, shall be obtained, in writing, from the minor’s parent or guardian.
