The Camera Obscura Journal of Literature and Photography is hosting its second photography competition for both professional and non-professional photographers. First prize in the professional category – $1200 . First prize in the non-professional category – $300 . Non-professionals may also enter the professional category. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 15TH SEPTEMBER 2010

All finalists in both categories will also receive publication in the Camera Obscura Journal this fall. Finalists in the professional category also receive a gift card for the Polished Photographer valued at $100.

We have a distinguished panel of judges. All entries are judged anonymously and are accepted only through our electronically submission system.

Open to all types of photography and photography-based mixed media artworks. Judged on the following:

-artistic merit (use of the elements and principles of art and design, as well as artistic impact and story-telling)
-technical proficiency (includes proper use of light)
