Contemporary Photography NOW is Surface Gallery’s annual open submissions exhibition dedicated to showcasing the practice of emerging and established artists working in the medium of photography. The exhibition will explore the diversity to be found in contemporary photographic practice, and provides a platform for today’s talented artists to show new work in an independent contemporary art gallery.

Surface Gallery would like to invite artists to submit their work for consideration: there are no restrictions, whether you are a photographer, an artist, or an ‘artist working with photography’. Contemporary Photography NOW is selected and curated by the curatorial team at Surface Gallery. One overall winner will be selected from the exhibition to receive a one-week solo exhibition in one of Surface Gallery’s exhibition spaces in 2014. In collaboration with Surface Gallery, this will be an opportunity for the selected artist to showcase a new body of photographic work.
