Black And White Photo Contest
A juried exhibition of black and white photography. There is often a classic, nostalgic and dynamic translation to black and white photography. Black and white has an important tradition of luminous, well-crafted and thoughtfully composed imagery. Contemporary photographers are involved in this dialog of history and tradition, but with their own modern voice, visions and aesthetics of imagery.
Juror: Julia Dolan
Julia Dolan is the Minor White Curator of Photography at the Portland Art Museum. She holds a B.F.A. in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art, an M.A. in Art History from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Art History from Boston University.
