Asia Without Borders Photo Competition 2010
Poetry In Motion. ASIAN Geographic’s signature battle – Asia Without Borders Photography Competition – will take photography into a new realm. As the theme for 2010’s competition suggests, it will challenge photographers to capture that which is beautiful to watch. Amateurs and professionals are called upon to give it their best shot. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 10TH OCTOBER 2010
Poetry itself is a lyrical, stylised and evocative form of writing that is intended to be more insightful and of greater impact than the casual, everyday use of words. Thus, poetry in motion must capture the same kind of fluidity, style and grace, arousing the same kind of sensations that poetry does when compared to ordinary movements. After all, a picture is still worth a thousand words, poetry included.
No doubt, Asia Without Borders will encapsulate the best of the best and suspend them in time beholding moments dramatic and spectacular.
One winner and runner-up will be selected from each category. A grand prize will be awarded to the best overall photograph as judged by our panel.
Contest Prize & TERMS
COPYRIGHT: Copyright in all images submitted to the competition, including winning entries, will remain with the photographer. The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all images entered. It is the legal responsibility of the entrant, and not the organizers, to ensure that they comply with these ownership and copyright requirements and own the rights to reproduction of their images. Entries that do not fulfil these criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified. Where this is discovered after the prize has been awarded, the prize must be returned or refunded by the entrant. Entrants agree to fully indemnify ASIAN Geographic and its sponsors and employees in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person by reason of the entrant breaching any of the foregoing. ASIAN Geographic and the competition sponsors are not making any claim whatsoever on the copyright of YOUR images. The copyright will, at all times, be respected by ASIAN Geographic and retained by the photographer. Where ASIAN Geographic reproduces an image or images, the photographer will be credited. The organisers and sponsors reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of entered images in all media, but only in connection with this competition. A selection of the winning and other best images will be reproduced in ASIAN Geographic's Photo Annual. Where image reproduction is unrelated to the awards then permission and a fee will be agreed with the photographer in advance.
