Arles Photography Open Salon at Galerie Huit
Arles 2012 Photography Open Salon at Galerie Huit Open Call for an exceptional opportunity for photographers to exhibit in Arles and have exposure for almost 3 months, during and alongside the renowned Les Rencontres d’Arles festival, in the magnificent settings of Galerie Huit. Arles is the highlight of the international photography calendar, running from 2 July to 23 September 2012. In 2011 festival attendees were estimated at 84,000, including prominent collectors, curators, gallerists, artists, publishers and photographers from around the world. As part of the same entry the selected artists will also be showcased in an exhibition in South East Asia in early 2013.

Contest Prize & TERMS
- A selection of winning images will also be exhibited in Photography Open Salon South-East Asia in early 2013.
- The winning selection of images selected for the exhibition will be printed by the Photography Open Salon, at the size determined by the Photography Open Salon.
Selected images will be featured in an online gallery on our website

COPYRIGHT: By submitting images to the Competition, you warrant, represent and undertake that: You are the sole author of each Entry and that it is your original work; You own the copyright and any and all other intellectual property rights in each image submitted by you; You have the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required in the section on licensing below and will indemnify the Organisers and Galerie Huit against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement; You have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the image that would conflict with the usage rights to be granted in the section below headed “Usage Rights” (Usage Rights) ; and You have received all necessary permissions in relation to submitted images to enable you to grant the Usage and will indemnify the Organisers and Galerie Huit against any claims made by any third parties in respect of any infringement of their rights arising from any exercise (or purported exercise) of any of the Usage Rights . You retain the copyright in your Entries. USAGE RIGHTS: The Organisers and Galerie Huit respect the rights of all Entrants and do not claim copyright for works submitted to the Competition. You will retain full copyright in each Entry submitted by you. In addition, your moral rights are respected. Whenever your work is published and/or exhibited by the Organisers and/or Galerie Huit (and their partners), you will be credited (provided that failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition). By entering the Competition, you grant the Organisers and Galerie Huit a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free licence (with power to sub-license as described below to their supporting partners and to the media) to use the images that you submit to the Competition (“Entries”) throughout the world in any media solely for the purpose of marketing and promoting this Competition and any future competitions organised by the Organisers and/or Galerie Huit and for no other purpose. These uses include: (a) judging the Competition; (b) displaying the Entries on the Website (and websites of partners); (c) displaying Entries at public exhibitions to promote the competition; (d) displaying Entries in a book, magazine or similar; (e) publishing the Entries on posters to promote the Competition; (f) publishing the Entries on postcards to promote the Competition; (g) publishing the Entries on a calendar to promote the Competition; (h) cropping and re-sizing the work as necessary to fit pre-defined formats to promote the competition; (i) sub-licensing the Entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the Competition and any related Exhibition; (j) inclusion within any materials promoting the Competition or any exhibition of works from this Competition organized by the Organisers and/or Galerie Huit. The duration of the licence shall be limited to a period of 5 years from the date of the announcement of the winners/Exhibited Images, except in the case of Archive Use (as defined below), where the licence shall be perpetual. “Archive Use” means use (for display or publication to promote the Competition and the same/equivalent competition in future years, and for no other purpose) as part of an archive of works originating from the Competition or the same/equivalent competition organised by the Organisers and/or Galerie Huit in previous or subsequent years (“Archive”). Only Exhibited Images may be included in the Archive. All work subject to Archive Use will be credited. By entering the Competition, you acknowledge your responsibility for protecting your Entry against misuse by third parties, by for example, but not limited to, the insertion of a watermark. The Organisers, Galerie Huit and their partners can assume no responsibility and are not liable for any misuse of your work by third parties. Should any uses of the work beyond those needed to promote the Competition arise, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to negotiate any such usage with the parties concerned independently of the Competition.
