Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition
A partnership between Appalachian State University Outdoor Programs, Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, and the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, The Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition (AMPC) celebrates the unique people, places, and pursuits that distinguish the Southern Appalachian region in the United States.
AMPC offers seven separate categories for submissions and $4,000 in cash and prizes.
Competition categories include: Adventure; Blue Ridge Parkway Vistas and Share the Journey; Culture; Our Ecological Footprint; Flora and Fauna; and Landscape.
Approximetely forty-six images will be selected in preliminary judging and will be displayed in the 7th Annual AMPC Exhibition at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in Boone, North Carolina – March 5 through June 5, 2010.
