The Annual Gurwin Photo Contest is underway! Entries will be accepted from February 15 through April 15, 2020, in the categories of landscapes, travel, people, pets, children, nature, wildlife, Long Island/New York, still life, action/sports, altered/enhanced and student. We are pleased to welcome back our sponsor, The Tiffen Company, leading manufacturer of glass filters and other fine products for digital, still, video, motion pictures and television. Their generous support, now in its 13th year, enables us to continue to enhance the lives of our residents through the exhibition of the breathtaking photography that is shared by amateur photographers in our community through this contest each year. Professional photographers will serve as judges, selecting winners based on clarity, composition, subject matter and suitability for display. Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: Cash prizes are awarded for Best-in-Show and a Runner-Up, and for the best in each category. Awards will be presented at a reception at the Gurwin Center in June. All winning entries, framed and titled, will be on permanent display at the Center for the enjoyment of our residents, visitors and staff. Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

All prints are used in art therapy and reminiscence programs for residents and adult day program participants throughout the year.
