6th NATIONAL JURIED EXHIBITION Open to artists residing in the US. Contemporary original 2D and 3D work in any media, including paintings, prints, drawings, photography and digital images.

All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Axis Gallery.
JUROR is Dena Beard, Curatorial Assistant for the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA). For the MATRIX program at BAM/PFA she assists with the production of site-specific projects by national and international emerging artists, including Ahmet Ogut, Omer Fast, Futurefarmers, Brent Green, Paul Chan, Martha Colburn, Mario Garcia Torres, Trevor Paglen, Tomas Saraceno, Allison Smith, and Tris Vonna-Michell, among others. Independently, she curated the Lending Library exhibition series in Oakland and San Francisco, featuring the research materials of Desiree Holman, Trevor Pa-glen, Kevin Killian, Tom Marioni, Colter Jacobsen, Amy Franceschini, Stephanie Syjuco, among other artists. Dena is currently working on Take Up Room on the Floor, a project about physical and virtual embodiment, and a solo exhibition featuring the artist Lutz Bacher. The juror graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an M.A. in Art History, Theory, and Criticism.
