Details
The Sony World Photography Awards are held annually by the World Photography Organisation.
The Sony World Photography Awards features four competitions:
• Professional competition
All entrants must be over 18. Photographers must submit a series of 5 to 10 images per category. Ten diverse categories to enter: Architecture & Design, Creative, Documentary Projects, Environment, Landscape, Portraiture, Portfolio, Wildlife & Nature, Still Life, Sport.
• Open competition
The competition is open to anyone over 18. The Open competition rewards outstanding single images across ten categories: Architecture, Creative, Motion, Landscape, Lifestyle, Natural World & Wildlife, Portraiture, Object, Street Photography, and Travel.
• Youth competition
Photographers aged 12-19 are set monthly challenges. Each photographer can enter up to three single images answering the set challenge per month from June 2021 to December 2021. Judges will select up to 10 images per month, including one winner.
• Student competition
The competition is open to all students of photography from World Photography Organisation’s selected Universities. Check if your institution is registered here. Students are required to submit five (5) – ten (10) images responding to a brief.

Photographer of the Year – $25,000 (USD) and Sony digital imaging equipment.

Overall winner – $5,000 (USD) and Sony digital imaging equipment.
