A juried group photo show with an open theme!
Black Box Gallery is excited to announce an open themed juried group photo show. Show us your favorite photographic shots. Open to all themes and ideas, all methods and styles, all perspectives on crafsmanship and visions of photographic creativity. This should be a fun show with a diversity of work!
Juror: Todd Johnson
Todd Johnson is a conceptual and experimental photographer living and working in Portland, Oregon. His photographic work uses abstract metaphor, social critique, dark humor and personal narrative. Johnson received his MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has been an active photographer, educator and curator for more than twenty years. Todd is the founder and director of Black Box Gallery in Portland. He has had the following selected solo exhibitions: The Misadventures of Ansel Adams: Garage Sales, Geotracking and General Tomfoolery, at The Art Gym at Marylhurst University, Dangerous Territory at Pacific Northwest College of Art and Malt Liquor and Cold Cuts at False Front Gallery. Johnson has worked as an independent curator for the following selected exhibitions: Fashion and Fiction at Linfield College, Wild Wild West at Gallery Homeland and Domesticity: Deconstructing an American Pluralism at The Waiting Room. Todd has worked as a portfolio reviewer for Photolucida and has juried The Drawers Program at Blue Sky Gallery.
