L.A. PHOTO CURATOR believes that P.R. is important for photographers. First place winner gets a review of their work by our roster of curators w/ Q&A w/ photographer inc. online exhibit & cash prize. This month L.A. Photo Curator looks at “CITYSCAPES.” What are the dominant characteristics of your city? Is it poverty, skyscrapers, graffiti? What is the human geography of your city? Show us your perspective on what you notice in your everyday surroundings. This theme is open to interpretation so have fun with it.
L.A. Photo Curator is proud to have Steve Grody as this month’s curator for “CITYSCAPES.” Steve wrote and photographed, “Graffiti L.A. Street Styles and Art”, a comprehensive and visual history of graffiti in Los Angeles. Steve is also a historian, speaker and board member of Art Share L.A. His photographs were included in the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art’s “Art of the Streets” exhibition. He was also co-curator of “Street Cred: Graffiti Art from Concrete to Canvas” at the Pasadena Museum of California Art.
