Landscape Photographer of the Year

Could you be the ninth holder of the title, ‘Landscape Photographer of the Year’ and win the top prize of £10,000? The search is now on to find the new winner of one of the nation’s most exciting photographic competitions, founded by renowned landscape photographer, Charlie Waite.

Entrants have until the 12th of July to enter the 2015 Awards by submitting their photographs of the British landscape. The competition is open to everyone and you can enter up to 25 photographs across the four categories. The prize fund is worth £20,000, with £10,000 for the overall winner and there is also a special class for those under 17, so the whole family can get involved.

The competition is held in association with VisitBritain and Countryside is GREAT and there is a special extra award for the best image from an overseas entrant. All images must be of the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: The judges will choose the single best image from all four Adult categories. The photographer of this image will be awarded the prestigious title, ‘Landscape Photographer of the Year 2015’ and £10,000. For the images then judged to be the best in each of the four categories, there will be a prize of £1000. For the images judged second in each of the four adult categories, there will be a prize of £500. The photographer, aged 17 or under, who creates the entry chosen by the judges as the single best image, taking into account all four youth categories, will become the Young Landscape Photographer of the Year 2015 and will win £1,000. Payment of the cash element of the prize will be made to the winner’s parent/guardian. There will be a prize of a copy of the Awards book for the photographer of the image judged the best in each of the four youth categories. All winners, together with further entries that the judges feel are worthy of commendation, will see their pictures published in the book, Landscape Photographer of the Year – Collection 9, by AA Publishing. A copy of the Awards book will be given to the overall winner, category winners and photographers of Highly commended images. Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright of each image is retained by its respective photographer USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the Competition, you grant TAV and its sponsors and supporters a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose connected with the Competition. This may include, but is not limited to: a) inclusion in the Competition book – print & digital versions; b) display at any exhibitions; c) on a secure web browser for judging purposes; d) on the Competition website and on the websites of sponsors and supporters; e) for use in press, promotional and marketing materials – both print & digital; f) on social media used by TAV, its sponsors and supporters. Entrants also agree that TAV can sub-license images to the media and to the Competition’s sponsors and supporters for reproduction in connection with the Competition.
