FEED A DIFFERENT IMAGINATION
This Photo Contest is organized by the Urbanautica Journal of Contemporary Photography (www.urbanautica.com)
We believe that nutrition and the resources of our planet are issues of vital urgency. For this we decide to focus on the themes of 2015 Universal Exhibition ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’, and to launch our own campaign ‘Feed a Different Imagination’. The campaign is free and open to all photographers who want to contribute to inspire our need to deepen and discuss these issues.
It is an opportunity for an important debate, to which we can contribute with our personal visions and stories. We know that images often have the power to engage and move the audience, capture their attention, and to reach deeper than that of the spoken word. We ask the international community of photographers to provide their own interpretation of the Thematic Routes chosen by EXPO 2015. Each of the Thematic Routes correspond to an award category, of which there are 5: (Food and Cultures, Food and Health, Food and Perspectives, Food and Equity, Food and Landscapes).
We have designated an International Jury including David Chancellor, Sasha Rudenski, David Marlé, Heidi Romano, Scott Dietrich. Each juror assigns one of five awards. 2 mentions will be assigned as well for each category.
In addition some of the best works submitted for a special publication entitled ‘Feed a Different Imagination’!
Contest Prize & TERMS
COPYRIGHT: Submitted images are published on the website EXPO CAMPAIGN within the respective award categories, and are shared in social network (unless expressly requested on the submission) with full credit of the author. Each participant must retains full and exclusive rights to the images submitted to EXPO CAMPAIGN. USAGE RIGHTS: We cannot guarantee a quick reply, nor that the proposed project will be published in Expo Campaign. A very rigorous selection of projects submitted will be published into the website. Projects will be also published and promoted through social networks. Awarded and finalist works can be reproduced in books, catalogues, posters or any other printed or digital support, as well as distributing it to press and/or magazines writings for the promotion and broadcasting of the contest, provided that full credit is given to its author. EXPO CAMPAIGN is not responsible for the use of the images submitted by external parties without permission of the author.
