Tallenge is a global online talent platform where it is currently hosting student photography contest. It is completely online, no participation fee, your photographs would gain global exposure & also stand a chance to win $250.

 

The Tallenge Student Photography Contest is one of its kinds. This competition allows participants to benefit from their social network and puts every viewer in the judge’s chair by allowing them to vote for their favorite entry.

How does the contest work?
Sign up and post your photos on www.tallenge.com. It gets seen by a global web audience and will compete against other best-matched opponents in a head-to-head format. Each visitor will have an option to view and vote for your entry.

Is there a participation fee?
No. You do not have to pay any money, or buy anything, to participate in any competition on Tallenge.

Who can participate?
Tallenge Student Photography Contest is open for the students of any recognized university. There are no geographic limitations or restrictions on participants.

What format is accepted?
For Image files:
a) Image formats: .jpg; .png; .gif
b) File size: maximum file size of 10 MB
Who decides the winner?
No know-it-all judges to critique your work. Global visitors to the Tallenge website will choose the winner by casting their vote for the entry they prefer. You can also invite your family and friends to vote for you to give you a leg up in the competition. (It is not necessary for visitors to sign up on Tallenge in order to vote)

What does the winner get?
Apart from the immense satisfaction of competing against students from around the globe, and winning a worldwide contest, the winner receives also $250 prize money from Tallenge along with press mentions in online publications, peer recognition and other opportunities.

Note however, that Tallenge does not monitor in any manner whether Users are complying with those laws or honoring those rights, and Tallenge is not responsible for protecting the copyright, license or other similar rights of any User. Tallenge respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the services to do the same.


By becoming a member on Tallenge and submitting an entry, you expressly agree to indemnify and hold Tallenge, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their owners, directors, officers, agents, contractors, partners, joint venturers and employees, harmless from and against any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of any claim, action, investigation or proceeding made or instituted by any third party based on copyright infringement due to or arising out of your use of the website (including, but not limited to, the Services, User visits to or use of the website) in violation of these Terms of Use or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.


Tallenge will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law and are properly provided to us. If you believe that your content has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please go to helpdesk and in the area provided, submit the following information for review and action:


(1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;

(2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;

(3)identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;

(4)your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email address;

(5) a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and

(6)a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Tallenge reserves the right to remove content alleged to be infringing without prior notice and at our sole discretion. In appropriate circumstances, Tallenge will also terminate a user's account if the user is determined to be a repeat infringer. USAGE RIGHTS: Tallenge is a company in the business of media and entertainment. For providing this platform, to optimize the service and to ensure its fairness and feasibility, certain information is collected from users over the course of their time spent on the Tallenge website. We want you to know how this is happening, and we recognize that your privacy is important, and we take it seriously.


Users can browse certain areas of the Tallenge Website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. Once you give us your personal information, you are not anonymous to us. If you choose to provide us with personal information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information to our servers.


In this policy, we will discuss what the information we collect is, how it is collected, and how it is used. To make this simpler and easier to get through, we’ve divided the information we collect into 3 classes –

CLASS ONE – INFORMATION YOU GIVE US


When you sign up for an account on Tallenge, you are asked to share certain details with us. This is information which you provide to us which personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, age or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by Tallenge. You may also choose to sign in to Tallenge using a third party login (for example, through Facebook, Google or Twitter), in which case Tallenge shall additionally receive your user ID for that service, as well as the personal information that you provide via the third party service.


This information shall primarily be used to ensure that the relationship between Tallenge and registered users and uploaders of content can be maintained, and that the services offered by Tallenge are not misused, and to determine whether you are following the terms and conditions and impose sanctions if you are not.


For a general user of Tallenge, this information will not be shared or disclosed in any form that might be used to personally identify you. We may share your information in a purely aggregated form, which is to say that any information that is either made public or shared would be clubbed together with multiple other users, and deal with parameters such as your age or location (in terms of the city or area you live in, not your specific address), such that there this information would not be used to determine your identity or violate your privacy.


For a popular user or winner in any category or Tallenge, their name and likeness may be used for publicity purposes upon the choice of Tallenge. All such users might also be required to promote Tallenge, though Tallenge would cover the expenses that may arise out of any such requirement.


A popular user is defined to be any user that has on any single entry or content or multiple entries has garnered more than a hundred votes on the Tallenge website. Such users may be required, at the discretion of Tallenge, to pay a role in the promotion of Tallenge, and their name and likeness may be shared for the publicity purposes of Tallenge.


CLASS TWO – INFORMATION WE COLLECT


During the course of your usage of this site, Tallenge may collect information about how you use our website as well as how you interact with various functionalities on Tallenge. This includes:


Device Information: We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information);

Server Information: When you upload or view content on Tallenge, certain information may be automatically collected as server logs, such as your queries on the Tallenge website, Internet Protocol Address, browser version, browser language, and the date and time of such query.

Cookies: Our efforts to collect information about users for improving our services may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device. We may also use cookies and anonymous identifiers when you interact with services we offer to our partners, such as advertising services.

Bots and scripts: In instances where there are users who choose to employ bots and scripts to attempt to misuse or cheat the Tallenge system, Tallenge shall be gathering as much information as is required to ensure that the system is secure, and to prevent duplication in terms of accounts and votes.

Tallenge will use this information to ensure that content from Tallenge is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device from which you may be accessing Tallenge. Further, such information will be used not only for tracking those who have accounts on Tallenge, but also those who will vote for various media as part of the Tallenge competition to prevent duplication in votes, content, and accounts. This information may also be used to allow you to access Tallenge and interactive features on the Tallenge website, when you choose to do so. This information will also be used to compile statistics and preferences of users to collate data for internal auditing and feedback purposes, to inform Tallenge users about changes in service, new features or new versions of Tallenge, and to ensure the delivery and maintenance of a high quality of service for our users.


CLASS THREE – INFORMATION YOU SHARE WITH THE PUBLIC ON TALLENGE


The purpose of Tallenge as an online social media platform for showcasing talent is for interaction between the creators and uploaders of content as well as the viewers and voters. Information disclosed to the general public in terms of annotations, captions to content, within the content or comments to either the user’s own content or someone else’s would thus be voluntarily shared by the Tallenge account holder with the general public. Tallenge would thus bear no liability for any infraction or violation of the privacy of users that could result. Tallenge users will be permitted to edit their profiles on Tallenge to ensure that any and all information shared is with their consent.
