Click Conserve and Care Photo contest
GlobalHunt Foundation as one of the key supporters to the UNEP WED 2014 has launched the Click Conserve and Care Photo contest to voice out the social and environmental concerns of the communities from worldwide. The Foundation is carrying forward the 2014 United Nations Environment Mandate on the theme to Raise your Voice and Not Sea levels – with an emphasis on curbing climate change and raising knowledge and awareness towards conserving these potential cultural sites and the vulnerable population about critical environmental issues worldwide. The main purpose is to initiate significant series of programmes and activities which entails generation of awareness, involving the community especially children and youth to participate in activities, initiatives and efforts that will help in restoration of physical, cultural and social environment.
Theme I- Decaying Environment- small islands, forests, vulnerable ecology nearby your region
Theme II- Depleting Bio-Diversity – threatened wildlife, indigenous species, herbal plants, endangered flora and fauna
Theme III- Rising Water Bodies – drying rivers, lakes, streams, glaciers, local ponds, ancient historic water storage systems
Theme IV- Traditional culture -promoters of eco-preservation, local communities, practices, skills, crafts, arts, local heritage
Theme IV Sustainable Livelihoods – sustainable traditional occupations, agriculture practices, specialized products, service
The above sub themes can be further expanded at your end. You need to provide a photo caption and description. A participant can submit maximum two photographs as per any category mentioned in the Theme Section.
Contest Prize & TERMS
All top 20 selected photographs will have the opportunity to showcase the submitted photographs on the publication that will be disseminated globally. ELIGIBILITY: Open to All
The size of the photographs should be a minimum of 250 KB to maximum 2 MB Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: Participants should ensure that only those photographs will be accepted that are original and have not been submitted and accepted anywhere else that it is not defamatory and that it shall not infringe on any third party rights including, without limitation, on privacy USAGE RIGHTS: The winner grants GHF and the partner/s the perpetual license to copy, edit, display, publish and make available any photographs taken , in any format in connection with the Competition; b. agrees that GHF and partner/s may publish his/her name in connection with GHF’s and/or a partner’s use of any applicable photographs.
