Wildlife Photography Competition 2014

Wildlife Photography Competition 2014 Enter the Kent Wildlife Trust Wildlife Photography Competition 2014. Do you think you have the flair and imagination to capture images that reflect the diversity and beauty of Kent’s amazing wildlife and landscape? These days you don’t need sophisticated camera equipment to achieve some great results. This is our 7th competition and is free to enter with four categories

Fauna: Covers all animals –mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects that can be found on sites in Kent. These may be nature reserves, country parks, schools, gardens etc.

Flora: Applies to all plants, flowers, trees and fungi found in Kent.

Landscape, coastline & people: A broad category for images of landscapes and habitats i.e. woodland, meadows, lakes, rivers and coastline ‐ but must be taken in Kent. The inclusion of people enjoying the ‘great outdoors’ is welcome

Junior (17 and under): Any subject may be chosen from categories1, 2 and 3 but must be taken in Kent and entrants must be age 17 and under on the closing date.

Judging will be by an expert panel chaired by Phil Hurst of the Natural History Photographic Unit. Winners will be notified by September 30th.

There are great prizes and certificates to be presented at a special awards evening this autumn. The winning photos will be featured in Wild Kent magazine and on our website.

For each category, prizes and certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright of the images must be the property of the entrant and will remain so USAGE RIGHTS: Kent Wildlife Trust reserves the right to publish the winning images in such media as they deem  suitable. Unplaced images may be used in Kent Wildlife Trust publications, website and display materials in the future if the appropriate check box on the entry form has been ticked.
