The ShAFF Lowepro Single Shot photo contest
The ShAFF Lowepro Single Shot photo contest returns for a second year in 2014 with sponsorship from Lowepro and Joby. Open to all, amateur or pro, entrants may each submit just a single image on the theme of the Adventure. A panel of judges including renowned outdoor and action sports and mountain bike professional photographer Geoff Waugh will select a shortlist of six which will then be judged by public vote both on Facebook and at the Showroom/Workstation during the festival weekend (4-6th April).
Organised to run alongside the annual ShAFF adventure photo competition, also sponsored by Lowepro, by MyOutdoors, the competition allows a talented amateur or aspiring pro with that one magic shot to compete with the experienced professional with a lifetime’s portfolio. Last year saw a shortlist of 6 images covering everything from running through liquid mud by headtorch to paragliding and was won by amateur photographer Simon Read with an image of mountain biking on The Great Ridge between Castleton and Edale despite strong competition from professionals.
