Last year the Wildflower Center and Wildflower magazine hosted its second annual photo contest. It was a hit, with 5,000 entries from more than 1,200 photographers. This year, we’ll do it again with some help from co-sponsor Texas Highways – the travel magazine of Texas.

This year’s photo contest brings with it exciting changes! By conducting the contest on Facebook as well as our website this year, we hope to welcome a broader audience and are happy to introduce public voting. Winners of the public voting will be announced May 10 on wildflower.org as well as at www.facebook.com/wildflowercenter. Winners of the private judging process will be announced July 23 on both websites.

Prizes will be awarded to winners, and winning photographs will appear in the Fall 2012 issue of Wildflower magazine and online.
