2012 FotoEvidence Book Award
The annual FotoEvidence Book Award will recognize a documentary photographer whose project demonstrates courage and commitment in addressing a violation of human rights, a significant injustice or an assault on human dignity.
The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers.
Submit up to 15 images from one project. If you are selected for the FotoEvidence Book Award you will be asked to submit 100-120 photographs on the same topic.
Contest Prize & TERMS
The Book Award winner and up to four other selected finalists will be exhibited on the FotoEvidence web site and at a gallery exhibition in New York City during the fall of 2012. The Book Award winner will sign a book contract granting FotoEvidence the rights to the work as published in a FotoEvidence book in exchange for compensation in the form of royalties from the sale of the books. COPYRIGHT: The photographer retains the copyright to all material submitted to FotoEvidence. USAGE RIGHTS: The Book Award winner and up to four (4) finalists agree to have their photographs exhibited on the FotoEvidence website without compensation.
FotoEvidence will publish a book of the Book Award winner’s work. The photographer(s) will be included in the editorial process for the book.
The Book Award winner and finalists agree to participate in a FotoEvidence sponsored exhibit and to designate FotoEvidence as their agent for any sales related to the exhibit.
The Book Award winner and finalists agree to donate three (3) signed prints, produced at FotoEvidence’s expense, to the FotoEvidence archive.
