On Being Human: Love, Faith, Shame and Hope

PICTURE_Art_Foundation_art _and_gallery_unveiling_10112010_0632 sm Call for Art PICTURE Art Foundation Upcoming Exhibit “On Being Human: Love, Faith, Shame and Hope” Presented at PICTURE Cultural Art at Cal St. Univ, Dominguez Hills, Carson, CA. Our Foundation is seeking submissions for artwork from artists and/or collectors to be considered for inclusion in the exhibit.

The exhibit will be shown at PICTURE Cultural Art our recently opened exhibit space on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.

All humans share many of the same life experiences regardless of their culture, location or ethnicity.

Our exhibit; “On Being Human: Love, Faith, Shame and Hope” highlights these similarities while showcasing the unique interpretations of different cultures.

The PICTURE Art Foundation is requesting submissions of is all media that illustrate a cultural, single or multi, interpretation of the exhibit theme.

Artwork to be included in the exhibit will be selected via jury. The jury consists of the Board Members and Executive Director of the PICTURE Art Foundation.

The jury will use the following criteria in its selection:

• Representation of Exhibit Theme
• Cultural Identification
• Quality of the artwork
• Artist Reputation and Credentials

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: Five pieces of art will be selected from the exhibit. $5000 will be awarded to the winners; $2000 for overall best of show and $750 each for the other four categories.

COPYRIGHT: Confirmation from the artist or collector that submission in the exhibit does not infringe on any copyrights USAGE RIGHTS: A full color exhibit catalogue will be published by the PICTURE Art Foundation featuring every piece selected for the exhibit. Two complementary copies of the catalogue will be sent to every participating artist/collector. It is expected that all participating artists consent to including their work in the catalogue.
