Carl Zeiss Photo Contest 2010

zeiss Without light, there can be no sight and no photography. The topic of this year’s Photo Contest is therefore light and darkness. Photographers and photo enthusiasts from all over the world are invited to enter their pictures and show us how they interpret “The language of light.” Be it an SLR lens or a camera phone, the only requirement is the use of a ZEISS lens. Anyone can place their vote for the best photo online.

Photographers use light to add meaning to their pictures. Light reflections, Bokeh, colored elements from time exposures or the soft appearance of barely noticeable light – there are many forms of expression. “Light is a design element used by all photographers. Everyone speaks their own language, but nonetheless expresses their creative messages with light and shadow. We are looking for photographers who make something visible that would otherwise remain hidden. Images from which creativity and personal composition exude, will win,” explains Martin Klottig, Marketing Manager in the Cameral Lens Division at Carl Zeiss
