Fake a Ghost! Photography contest and exhibition.
We are pleased to announce the ‘Fake a Ghost! photography contest and exhibition. Create your own Ghost Photo and have it displayed at Bassetlaw Museum, North Nottinghamshire.
Your ghost could be a complete figure in human or animal form, or maybe just some limbs, a heads or facial features! As long as the form of the ghost is recognisable. You can use any photography technique including digital or darkroom image manipulation.
Selected photographs will be exhibited in the Percy Laws gallery at Bassetlaw Museum from 1st November until 27th November 2010.
Selection will take place on Thursday 28th October. All entrants will be notified by either phone or email after this date. Successful entrants will be responsible for the printing and framing of their entry which will then be displayed in the gallery. The minimum size for these exhibits is 9×6”.
Successful exhibitors should collect their work in the week following the closure of the exhibition. The Museum reserves the right to dispose of any entries not claimed within one month. Works are submitted at the owner’s risk. The Museum does not hold responsibility for loss or damage.
Contest Prize & TERMS
Entries will be judged within two categories: under 16s and 16+. One winner from each category will have their photograph published in the Retford Times and also receive a £30 voucher from Max Spielmann, photo processing. COPYRIGHT: All works must be originals. Copyright will remain with the entrants. USAGE RIGHTS: The organisers reserve the right, free of charge, to use any photograph that has been submitted to the competition for promotional purposes.
