Art of Building Photo Contest

A competition for creative people.

GAPS_lockup_Pgre small.jpg (72 KB)Get your work seen by key figures from the field of arts and design, in the media and online & Win a £500 arts grant. Support a creative new campaign for women and peace

This summer, GAPS UK is running a creative competition to generate materials for an exciting new campaign on women and peace. All over the world in conflict situations, women are a prime target. Yet when it comes to building peace, women are not at the table.

No women, no peace.  That’s our message. We want people to see it, understand it and act on it. And that’s where we need you.

We need your skills to send the message out. The format is up to you: videos, posters, animations, paintings, sculptures, illustrations…

Get your work seen. By taking part, you’ll have the chance to put your work in front of the eyes of a jury of respected figures from the arts and design including artists Cathy Wilkes, Runa Islam and Nigel Cooke, Birds Eye View CEO Rachel Millward and Laura Jordan-Bambach, Executive Creative Director of LBi. The best entries will become part of the No women, no peace. campaign and gain exposure online, in the media and at public events. The winning piece will be presented to the UK’s Foreign Secretary and the winner will receive a £500 arts grant!

The campaign is run by GAPS UK (Gender Action for Peace and Security), a network whose members include:
Amnesty International UK, CARE International UK, International Alert, Oxfam GB, WOMANKIND Worldwide and Women for Women International UK.
