The 2010 AOP Open Awards

aopopen2010new.jpg (17 KB)The Call for Entries has commenced for the photography competition that’s open to everyone! The AOP Open is the only photography competition in which professionals and amateurs compete on equal terms.

It annually attracts around 1500 entries from around the world and each year professional photographers, assistants, students and amateurs battle it out to be selected for the exhibition at the AOP Gallery.
For everyone who is passionate about photography the Open provides the perfect opportunity to gain recognition for their work. The aim of the competition is to showcase outstanding individual images – there are no categories or themes so the choice of work submitted is entirely up to the photographer.

By entering the Open one can compete with some of the industry’s top photographers and be judged by a panel of noted professionals from the creative world. The judges will be announced in May and judging will take place in June 2010.

The gala evening will be held in August at the AOP Gallery in Shoreditch, East London. Awards will be presented to the ‘Best in Show’, the ‘Public Choice’ winner and also a ‘Judge’s Choice’ selected by each of the judges. The chosen images will be exhibited in August at the AOP Gallery and also showcased on the Awards website
