The aim of the competition is to help and promote the photographic profession and to raise the level of professional standards. It is also intended to give just recognition to those who work in this sector according to the highest levels of quality and professionalism. The competition is a non-profit event and all fees collected will be used to promote the FEP and the FEP member associations.

The FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2010, supported by EPSON will be open from April 15th, 2010. Deadline to enter the competition is 15th, July, 2010. New categories have been added for photographers to enter: wedding, portraits, commercial, reportage, landscape, illustrative and an INTERNATIONAL section, for non European photographers. We have also decided to present the winners of the specialised categories with GOLDEN CAMERA awards.
