Get Camping BC Photo Contest

camping-rv-header08Take photographs of your camping trip in British Columbia – being active, having adventures, enroute to a British Columbia campground, reconnecting with nature or bonding with family and friends.

All pictures must be taken in a camping setting within British Columbia. In your shots don’t forget to include camping vehicles and equipment, such as: campers, motorhomes, tent trailers, tents, camping stoves, firepits, etc.

Fill out the online entry form and upload your image no later than September 8, 2009.

You may enter up to five images per category.

Shortlisted contestants will be determined by a panel of judges for on-line voting.

On-line voting opens October 5 until November 19, 2009.

Winners will be notified no later than December 14, 2010.

The Grand Prize will be awarded to the best outstanding category winner.

The top winner of each category will be awarded a Mountain Equipment Co-op gift card taken by a person 19 years or older.

The winners will be determined by on-line voting and a panel of judges.

Categories
Adventure and Physical Fun
Biking, fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking… capture your adventure and fun when camping in British Columbia. Pictures must be taken in a camping environment.

On the Open Road
While enroute to your British Columbia camping destination, just you and the open road ahead, roll down the windows and let the air flow through your motorhome, camper or trailer. This category photo must include a camping vehicle.

Nature’s Splendour
Camping in British Columbia can be a time to reconnect with the land and your sense of place. Capture majestic landscapes while in a camping setting in British Columbia. Whether relaxing on your hammock, overlooking a lake at sunset or watching wildlife.

Family and Friends
Camping in British Columbia is a great time for family and friends to bond. Enjoying a meal together, sitting around the campfire, playing cards or participating in an outdoor program at your campground. Be sure to capture your family and friend’s magical camping moments.

Conditions:
Photos must be taken in British Columbia at a campground, visit the Where to Camp page to find out more about the 600 locations. On the road photos are the only exception to this rule, but still must be taken in British Columbia enroute to a camping destination and include a camping vehicle.

Photos must be taken during the 2009 season.

Only original photography will be accepted.

All prizes and prize packages are provided at the discretion of the Camping and RVing BC Coalition.

Winners must accept prizes as they are awarded and abide by the conditions set forth by the Camping and RVing BC Coalition.
