Great British Summer Photo competition

timesonline-logoSummer provides many opportunities to capture Britain at its best, with so many outdoor events and activities to get involved with. We want to see Britain though your lenses, and by entering your photographs into our competition you could be in with the chance of winning £5,000 to spend on a dream holiday either in the UK or overseas.

There are three categories, People & Places, Landscapes and Out & About. You can enter up to five photographs in each category, with a maximum file size of 2MBs for each photograph. The winners and runners up of each category will receive top of the range camera equipment. However, the overall winner will receive the £5,000. The judging panel consists of The Times’ travel picture editor Lou Siroy, Times Online’s travel editor Steve Keenan and Wire Images photographer Emma Peios.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: There are a total of nineteen (19) prizes. The overall winner will receive a holiday package for two people to the value of £5,000 inclusive of VAT (see details below), a Panasonic G1 DLSR camera package and either a Panasonic FS12 digital camera or Panasonic S26 Camcorder. The remaining two category winners will each receive a Panasonic G1 DLSR camera package [what does this include] and either a Panasonic FS12 digital camera or Panasonic S26 Camcorder. The remaining twelve (12) finalists we each receive either a Panasonic FS12 digital camera or Panasonic S26 Camcorder. Note: awarding of either the FS12 digital camera or S26 Camcorder will be at the Promoters’ sole discretion. COPYRIGHT: Entrants should submit their entry together with their name, email address and location. The image should be the entrant’s own work, not previously published and entrants represent and warrant that they are not professional photographers and their entry does not infringe the privacy rights, copyright or any other rights of any person. Obscene or inappropriate photographs/messages will not be accepted and TNL reserves the right to reject any photographs/messages for any reason. Prior to submitting a photograph of any identifiable individual, entrants should obtain the consent of such person or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16 and advise them of the purpose of the submission and that their photograph may be published by TNL (including in on timesonline) and by Currys. Entries must be submitted by uploading an image on www.timesonline.co.uk/greatbritishsummer
