My Appalachia! Is a national competition that invites both professional and amateur photographers to share their images of the Appalachia region.

This competition will serve to promote photographers who are able to their viewers an appreciation of the Appalachian region. All photographic processes is eligible for submission. Although participating photographers need not be a resident of the 420 counties in the 13 Appalachian states, their photograph(s) must be from this region. The designated Appalachian regions can be found at www.arc.gov/index.do

All work must be new work and never previously before published. There is no minimum print size or maximum size of work.

Appalachia is a 205,000 square mile cultural region that follows the Appalachian Mountains from southern New York to Northern Mississippi. The region includes all of West Virginia and parts of 12 other states including: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
