An opportunity for photographers to exhibit their work in one of the Greater Washington DC area’s premier independent fine art galleries. The Fraser Gallery has had tremendous success with our previous juried exhibitions, which were widely reviewed in several local art magazines and national newspapers.

These exhibitions have, in several cases, provided additional exhibition opportunities for artists in the DC area.

The Fraser Gallery is one of the major fine art galleries in the Greater Washington DC area. The gallery is located on the street level of the Bethesda Place complex, surrounded by the restaurants and theaters which make Bethesda one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the world. The gallery owner, Catriona Fraser is an award winning photographer, juror and curator who has directed the Fraser Gallery since 1996. Gallery shows are widely listed in local newspapers as well as most local art publications and are often reviewed by regional and national art critics.

The Juror is Catriona Fraser. Ms. Fraser is the owner and Director of the Fraser Gallery. Ms. Fraser serves on the “Bethesda Arts and Entertainment District” Advisory Panel and on the Board of the “Washington School of Photography”. Ms. Fraser has served on the Advisory Panel for the “Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County” and is Chair of the “Trawick Prize, Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards”, a fine art competition that awards $14,000 in prize money to artists residing in Maryland, Washington D.C and Virginia. She is also Chair of the “Bethesda Painting Awards”, an annual competition that awards $14,000 in prize money to painters residing in D.C, Maryland and Virginia. Ms. Fraser is the Director of the annual “Bethesda Fine Arts Festival” and is the President of the “Art Dealers Association of Greater Washington.”

A formal opening and reception for the accepted artists will be held on Friday, 11 February 2011 from 6-9 p.m. at the Fraser Gallery, 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland 20814. This reception will be catered and refreshments will be served.

Selected work will be on exhibit from February 11 – March 5, 2011.
