Aviation Week Photocontest

The Aviation Week Photo Contest, now in its 24th year, is the world’s premier competition for aviation and aerospace photos. There are categories for Commercial Aviation, General Aviation, Defense and Space.

An independent panel of judges will select winning photos that will appear on AviationWeek.com and in the Annual Photography Issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology. All selected photos will be:

1) Labeled as falling within one of four aerospace categories — Civil, Defense, Space, and General Aviation (includes hobby, sport, warbirds, air show, technical subjects) .

2) Printed with the photographer’s name (photo credit).

3) Exposed to the global aerospace industry.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: The winner judge the "Best of the Best" will receive a $500 prize and 100 copies of Aviation Week & Space Technology's Photo Issue. First prize winners in each of four categories (Commercial Aviation, Defense, General Aviation and Space) will receive a $250 prize. Second prize winners in each category will receive a $100 prize. Second prize winners in each category will receive a $75 prize. Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

COPYRIGHT: By entering the contest, the photographer represents and warrants that he or she has the power and authority to submit the photographs entered and to grant the rights herein and that all photographs submitted shall not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret or invade or violate any right of privacy, infringe any other proprietary right or contain anything libelous and obscene. USAGE RIGHTS: The photographer grants Aviation Week the right to publish his/her entries in print or digitally. Aviation Week may use the photos for promoting the photo contest. Photographers retain rights to their photos, aside from granting Aviation Week the rights described above. Aviation Week retains the right to display photos entered in the photo contest in perpetuity. We will not reuse photos in a context not related to the photo contest without first securing a photographer's permission.
