Dog Photographer of the Year 2014 The Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year 2014 is now open. Dogs are more popular than ever. In the hearts and minds of people everywhere, they are true companions and make a real difference to our lives. Join the international community of photographers who share our passion for dogs.

We want you to join the international community of photographers who share our passion for dogs. Enter the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year 2014 competition, presented by Samsung – Take part and win Samsung camera prizes and a chance to be a Crufts Best in Show photographer.

The competition is free and open to any professional or amateur photographers worldwide.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: Overall Winner of Dog Photographer of the Year 2014 will receive a new Samsung Galaxy NX camera plus travel and one night accommodation for two for Crufts award presentation in 2015, an original Oil Painting of winning image, Best in Show photography placement to photograph 2015 Best in Show winner with your new Samsung Camera, framed image, a Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year Category Winner Certificate and trophy.

Category Winner for Assistance and Dog Charities will receive a brand new Samsung NX1100 camera along with a Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year Category Winner Certificate and trophy and a donation presented by Samsung of £500 to the photographer’s nominated dog charity* (dog charity to be approved and decided by the Kennel Club).

Category Winners for Dogs at Work, Dog Portrait, Dogs at Play, Puppies, Man’s Best Friend will each receive a brand new Samsung NX300 camera along with a Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year Category Winner Certificate and trophy.

Category Winner for I Love Dogs Because… Under 18 will win a new Samsung NX300 camera and a private one-day dog photography workshop with an Award Winning Professional Photographer along with a Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year Category Winner Certificate and trophy.

Each category Runner-Up (2nd place and 3rd place) for Dogs at Work, Dog Portrait, Dogs at Play, Puppies, Man’s Best Friend, Assistance and Dog Charities, Under 18 category- I Love Dogs Because… will win a new Samsung WB350F Wi-Fi camera along with a Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year Category Runner Up Certificate and rosette. COPYRIGHT: The entrant warrants that the photo(s) will not infringe any rights of any third party. The entrant must also be the sole author and owner of the copyright in all photo(s) entered i.e. the entrant must have taken the photograph(s). Photos must be the sole work of the photographer, no shared copyright and all model releases and location releases (if needed) must be undertaken by the photographer. USAGE RIGHTS: The entrant grants to the Kennel Club and Samsung (“Sponsor”) the worldwide and non-exclusive royalty-free right and license for copyright to reproduce the prize winning and commended entries in branded forms and media and in all manners for promotion of the Dog Photographer of the Year competition. The following copyright accreditation –Name of photographer. The Kennel Club Limited Picture Library© will be used so far as possible.

No other usage for the Dog Photographer of the Year 2014 will be licensed to the Kennel Club or Sponsor or third party outside of promotion of the Dog Photographer of the Year competition. If there is any interest by the Kennel Club or Sponsor in licensing images outside of promotion of the Dog Photographer of the Year, The Kennel Club Picture Library will contact the photographer directly.

The Kennel Club will endeavour to credit all photos when used in print or on the Kennel Club website.
