The London Photographic Association presents The Portrait Award – Lets Face it 10. As always we encourage entrants to interpret the brief in the widest sense, portraying your subjects with emphasis on their identity as individuals.

Judges will be awarding Prizes for entries in the following categories :
Series of images: up to six related images
This category allows photographers to highlight work from an ongoing essay or body of work.
Images may be either Black & white or colour
1997 Kevin O’Connor conceived and founded the London Photographic Awards. For four years this annual photography competition culminated in traveling exhibitions in the UK, Europe and the USA. A coffee table catalogue was published to support each photography exhibition, three of which won prizes in the New York Festivals. Recognizing the uptake of digital technology and the way it was radically altering the way in which professional photographers and fine art photographers were commissioned, produced, and marketed the London Photographic Association (LPA) was formed in 2001.
Who belongs to the London Photographic Association?
Professional photographers engaged in advertising – editorial – fashion – photojournalism and social commissions.
Artists using lens based media - fine art photographers – professional photographers wanting to build a reputation in the fine art market / print sales – photographers working on personal documentary projects for publication and /or exhibition.
Contest Prize & TERMS
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners receive a years free membership to the LPA.
All Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be interviewed by the LPA and published on the website.
All Gold, Silver and Bronze winners can apply to have their fine art prints sold through Gallery 1839 .

COPYRIGHT: By entering the competition, entrants warrant to the London Photographic Association that they have created and own the work submitted (including all elements of the work) and that nothing within any work has been copied or added from another person’s work.
Entrants warrant that the whole copyright and any other form of intellectual property right in the work is vested in them and warrant that they have not in any way assigned, licensed, disposed of, or otherwise encumbered any of their rights which allow them to deal freely with the work and the copyright in that work
USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the competition, entrants grant licence to London Photographic Association and agree that their work may be exhibited at venues organised by and for the purpose of the London Photographic Awards as well as through the London Photographic Association website.
Entrants agree that the London Photographic Association may display entries featured in the London Photographic Awards exhibitions and website to promote the works of Entrants to the London Photographic Association and for education and reference purposes connected with the London Photographic Association.
