Renaissance Photography Prize 2012

Print The Renaissance Photography Prize 2012: Win £6,000 in prizes and raise money for breast cancer. The fifth year of the Renaissance Photography Prize is now open for entries from photographers across the world. Entry fee is donated in full to the Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care to support younger women with breast cancer.

This year’s eminent judges are:
– Brett Rogers, director of The Photographer’s Gallery
– Mary McCartney, photographer
– Michael Hoppen, photographer and owner of Michael Hoppen Gallery, London
– Brigitte Lardinois, Magnum curator
– Monica Allende, picture editor of the Sunday Times Magazine

100 images will be selected for a week-long exhibition at the Mall Galleries in the heart of London and winners in the five categories (expression/environment/memory/disorientation/perspective) win £500 with £3000 going to the overall Renaissance Prize winner. There is also a special Calumet Prize for the best image taken on film.

Renaissance is run by volunteers and all your entry fee goes to support younger women with breast cancer.

COPYRIGHT: Photographer retains copyright USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the Competition, you grant the Renaissance committee and Renaissance supporting partners a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose solely and exclusively to promote the Competition. This may include, but is not limited to:

magazine coverage of the Competition and Exhibition;
inclusion in a catalogue;
display at the Exhibition and Connected Exhibitions;
on a web browser for judging purposes;
on renaissancephotography.org website and on the websites of sponsors and supporters; and
for use in press releases to be distributed to national, regional & specialist press giving information about or promoting the 2011 competition and subsequent Renaissance competitions. For non finalists images this license will expire on October 2014.
