Yonhap International Press Photo Awards (YIPPA)

logo1 Yonhap News Agency has decided to hold the “Yonhap International Press Photo Awards (YIPPA)” under the slogan of “Share the Moment, Share the Future,” in order to join the United Nations’ efforts to promote international peace, common prosperity of mankind, and environmental protection.

 

YIPPA is specifically aimed at supporting the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); therefore, profits from this event will be donated to the UN Fund for the improvement of global poverty, global environmental preservation and disaster relief.

This event awaits active participation of the photojournalists who have tried on assignment to figure out a difference between dreams and reality to embody a fragment of truth that is powerful enough to change the world.

PRIZE DETAILS: Grand Prize (1 from all categories): $30,000

Yonhap Media Group Prize in support of the UN MDGs (1 from all categories): $10,000

Gold Prize (3 Single and 3 Story categories): $5,000

Silver Prize (6 from 3 Single and 3 Story categories): $3,000

Bronze Prize (6 from 3 Single and 3 Story categories): $1,000

Merit Prize & Honorable Mention: Some from each category

A round-trip air ticket and accommodation will be offered to the winners of the Grand Prize, the Yonhap Media Group Prize in support of the UN MDGs and the Gold Prize. ELIGIBILITY: Open to staff reporters of on- or off-line press worldwide and freelance reporters who provide photographs to the press and/or photo agencies around the world Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

COPYRIGHT: The submitted photo must be an original work created solely by the entrant. Entries must be free from legal issues such as infringement of right of publicity, copyright, trademark rights and other intellectual property rights. USAGE RIGHTS: Entrants hereby acknowledge and agree that the Sponsor shall hold a permanent, free of charge rights to use the awarded submission pieces to be displayed or published at exhibitions promotion materials websites, applications, signboards, photo collection, archive and the like for publicity of the Sponsor or the Contest.
